Salted Nut Bars

Crust:

  • 3 cups flour
  • 1 1/2 cups brown sugar
  • 1 cup butter, softened
  • Combine in food processor.  Press into an ungreased jelly roll pan.
  • Bake at 350 º F. oven for 10 -12 minutes or until lightly browned
  • Topping:
  • 2 cups salted mixed nuts
  • 1 cup butterscotch chips
  • 1/2 cup  light corn syrup
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 1 tablespoon water

 

Sprinkle the nuts over the baked crust.

Combine the remaining ingredients in a small saucepan.  Bring to a boil.  Boil for 2 minutes.

Return to the oven for 10 to 12 minutes.
