Duke Energy Lineman Killed on the Job.

(South Lebanon, Oh,)--A Duke Energy Lineman in Warren County has died after a fall Thursday.

The company says two workers were about 22 feet up, removing lines from a pole, at the intersection of Stubbs Mill and Mason-Morrow Millgrove roads in Union Township around 1 p.m. Thursday. The two were injured when the pole collapsed, striking both of the men.

 

One man was airlifted to Miami Valley Hospital in Dayton. The other was driven to a hospital by ambulance. The worker who died, Keith Jester, 43. Was pronounced dead at Bethesda Arrow Springs, the other worker suffered severe but non-life-threatening injuries.

 

Warren County Deputies said the pole snapped near the bottom.

 

Duke Energy has issued a statement extending sympathies to their fallen colleague and his family, friends and co-workers. The Company also say their thoughts and prayers go out to the injured employee as well and his family.

 

The Company says they will work with Officers in the ongoing investigation.
